Day 1

It is a beautiful piece of equipment. It definitely solidifies the sound.  I am very impressed with it after only about 3 hours on it.  It started out sounding a little bass shy and has changed over that short period. The clarity is phenomenal.  I listened to Eric Clapton unplugged and the left guitar player sounded like he was about 6 feet forward of Clapton.   I heard details I never heard before.  As I played more and more records, I heard something amiss.  I played with the azimuth on my cartridge and was able to get more separation.  I never had that happen like this before.  Again a good thing.  Do you have the Classic reissue of Crosby, Stills, and Nash?  3rd song, second side.... “Helplessly Hoping.”  The harmonies are outside the left speaker.  With the pure power one, each voice was in its own space and each voice was a different volume as they harmonized.  It was as though I was in the studio being serenaded by them.  Awesome

Day 2

Bite me!!!!!!!!!!!!  This monster has changed completely since yesterday.  All I did was leave it on with none of my equipment turned on. I listened to 3 bill Evans 45's  (2 were live) tonight to try and figure out the air around the piano.  The crowd interweaving with the instruments made it sound like I was at the lounge listening to live music and I wanted to tell everybody to shut up.  There was so much "you were there" and Scott Lafaro (the bass player) was in a world of his own playing lead rather than following the piano.  A wonderful experience.  I also listened to a Billy holiday classic records reissue on 45.  Hard to believe it was recorded 50 years ago.  Her voice has so many inflections.  Do you own the M & K record "For Duke"?  Maybe the greatest record of all time.  Anyway, the brass had bite w/o being aggressive.  You could hear the air flowing thru the sax.  I could go on but I think you get the idea.

Day 3

...the "one" (pure power one) has settled down even more than the other day.  I played 2 Ben Webster 45 LP's and almost _____ (ed.: use your imagination – he was excited).  It’s mesmerizing.  I am going to substitute my old power line conditioner in a couple of days just to hear the difference.  Should be a no contest.  I know you have a winner with this one.
