I was first introduced to Dave Stanard via eBay whereby I picked up some vintage Large Advent loudspeakers that Dave had worked his magic upon. Over the next few months I was convinced into trying his cabling which did all he said they would. Blacker quietness, greater imaging, improved sound-stage and detail. With each addition of a SCA product into my line-up, the more the music was revealed to me. Being a professional sound engineer for many years and working with some great musicians and some not so great; I knew what good, live music sounded like and what it did for my inner being. I was never able to re-capture the ‘live’ experience in my living room. Too many things got in the way of the music: distortions, artifacts, obnoxious junk.

The SCA cabling and power conditioning cleaned up my act. It allows the music source to be presented in an unstrained, open fashion with great detail and musicality. Notes ring true, highs are extended but never brittle, low notes dive deeper than they ever had before but are agile and never dull or wooly. The mid range pours out sweetly and effortlessly with pin-point imagery.

As for the SETs. Don’t even get me started on their unparalleled musicality. They simply bring out all the warmth of the original recording and suspend the music in a lush envelop that surrounds the listener and brings him or her into the third row seat; center isle.

Thanks to Dave Stanard’s fine products and insightful suggestions I am once again enjoying music with big sound at modest volumes with no listener fatigue and happier neighbors.
