The pure power one power
conditioners began life to fill the need for a simple, effective
power conditioner that truly cleans the electricity that eventually
winds up driving your speakers. Think about it! The electricity
that goes from your amplifier to your speakers is not magically
created inside the amplifier. It can be traced back to the
outlet on the wall. The old adage applies here: “garbage
in; garbage out.” We wanted to change that and give
your audio components clean, pure power to thrive on.
The essence of the pure
power one unit is a massive isolation transformer made especially
for us by one of the leading manufacturers of power transformers
in the world. The 1.8 kVA transformer weighs nearly 25 pounds
and the unit weighs over 50 pounds. The 3.0 kVA transformer
weighs in at over 35 pounds. The pure power one conditioners
also have special EMI and RF filtering. The electrostatic
shield between the primary and secondary, as well as magnetic
shielding of the toroid itself, ensure this unit delivers
silky black silence to your equipment.
The pure power one is
available in two different models: the basic has a 1.8 KV
transformer. Massively overbuilt, this is more than adequate
for all but the most demanding systems. It can easily handle
50 amp spikes in current during passages with huge dynamic
differences. The pure power one 3.0 has a 3.0 VA transformer
that will provide over 20 amps of continuous current when
needed.
The basic pure power
one with the 1.8 KvA transformer comes with Furutech 15-amp
receptacles. The basic 3.0 comes with 4 Hubbell 20-Amp receptacles.
The 3.0 may also be ordered with Furutech gold-plated 20-amp
receptacles.
Some customers have requested
an “Amp Only” pure power one 3.0. For these audiophiles,
we offer the pure power one 3.0 se (Special Edition). This
unit will come with a single duplex receptacle on the rear
panel, a FT-D20A(G). Prices for all units are listed below.
A few quotes
from audio guru Roger Greene on the pure power one:
“The clarity is phenomenal. …I heard details
I never heard before.
With the pure power one, each voice was in its own space
and each voice was a different volume as they harmonized.
It was as though I was in the studio being serenaded by
them (reissue of Crosby, Stills and Nash, 3rd song Helplessly
Hoping). Awesome
It’s mesmerizing.”
